Shift Manager

  • During this period of my McDonald’s career I worked my way up to shift manager. I started out as crew member in 2004 and transition to crew trainer in 2005. I transferred to Rockbridge McDonald’s in Columbia, MO in 2006 while I went to college. Within a month I was again promoted to crew trainer, and shortly after to swing shift manager. In 2008 relocated back to Boonville. In Boonville started out as swing manager, and then after two months promoted to a shift manager.
  • My duties as a shift manager included all the same tasks as my current job position as crew trainer but also included answering phone calls, managing a crew of 25 or more crew for an eight to nine hour shift, positioning crew members for success, managing food safety and waste,
    prepping the store for the next shift, doing an end of the shift count-down of drawers and safe, figuring shift’s deposit, taking deposits to the bank, and turning complaints into satisfaction.
